Dean's Message

Dear Students and Prospective Students,

Ege University Çeşme Faculty of Tourism began its educational journey in 1987 as a vocational school featuring tourism and maritime departments, and offered four-year undergraduate education between 2005 and 2019. Recently, the Çeşme School of Tourism and Hotel Management was restructured and elevated to the status of Ege University Çeşme Faculty of Tourism.

Carrying out its educational and instructional activities without compromising the fundamental principles of Atatürk, the Republic, and academic values, our institution aims not only to produce scientific knowledge but also to become an educational entity that strengthens its ties with the community, develops joint projects with non-governmental organizations, and contributes to regional and national development.

The fact that our departments have been highly preferred among similar institutions since their establishment is a testament to our highly qualified student profile. Alongside our commitment to providing quality education, our school distinguishes itself through sports competitions and vibrant student club activities.

During a period when higher education in tourism was limited in our country, Ege University pioneered specialization by launching programs in Hotel Management, Travel Agency Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Tourist Guiding. We achieved another milestone with the "Recreation and Tourist Guiding" master's program with thesis, introduced in 2014. This program provides bachelor's degree holders from any discipline the opportunity to become certified Tourist Guides.

Dear students who will choose the tourism industry as a profession; the prerequisite for success in this field is to learn the work practically in the "kitchen" of the industry. Facility management is a destination, and this journey is the result of relentless hard work, starting from the entry-level positions in enterprises.

Dear students, I highly recommend that you focus on your personal and professional development alongside your academic studies, gaining hands-on experience in the industry. I extend my warmest regards to you all.
